5 person flats include 3/4 sized beds so you can spread out when lying in! We have also added a living room with flat screen TV and TV licence so you have some space to chill out with friends.
The 5 person flats comprise of 5 bed rooms, communal kitchen/diner with adjoining living room, flat screen TV with freeview and sofas.
Set within a large student village with beautiful grounds, we are home to over 500 students from BCU and Aston University.
Rooms
5 Person flats are located in the eastern part of the campus just behind the chapel and the Main Hall. Each room comes equipped with a wash basin, desk, chair, wardrobe, set of drawers, 3/4 bed, mattress cover and a bin. All rooms also benefit from a free up to 200 Mb wifi internet connection.
Kitchen
Kitchens in 5 person flats are shared by 5 students. Each person sharing a kitchen will have their own space in cupboards, fridges and freezers. All kitchens are equipped with fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, iron, ironing board and dining area. Kitchens in 5 person flats benefit from an adjoining lounge/living area for chilling out in when you're not studying.
Bathroom and toilets
There is a bathroom with an electric shower, toilet and hand basin. There is also a separate toilet in another room.
Utilities
All room prices at Hamstead Campus include ALL UTILITIES including heating, hot water, electricity and up to 200mb high speed wifi internet.
The Area
Hamstead Campus is located in the Handsworth Wood area of Birmingham just 3 miles from the city centre. A few minutes' walk along College Road takes you to local facilities including a Tesco Express, Post Office, bakery and leisure centre. Also nearby is Handsworth Park, a 63 acre park with a lake, cricket pitch and a second, larger leisure centre with swimming pool.
Sports Pitch
We have a floodlit multi-use sports pitch available to residents free of charge - a great way to meet new friends, have fun and enjoy some exercise.
Gym
We have a private gym for our student residents, located in Hamstead Hall. The gym is free to use for all Hamcam residents.
Security
Hamstead Campus is a secure, gated campus with 24/7 security 52 weeks a year. We have a regular team of security guards who are on hand 24 hours a day at reception in the Hall. When the Accommodation Office is closed our security team is here to help with any queries.
Insurance
Hamstead Campus in partnership with Howdens/Endsleigh Insurance provide basic contents insurance for your room at Hamcam. This insurance provides reassurance for all of our residents and for those wanting to be extra sure, there is an option to extend the policy to include accidental damage cover.
Cycle Storage
Cycle storage is provided on site for students wishing to bring a bike to campus. A £5 deposit is payable for a key to the bike store. This is refundable when you return your key.
